Open Position: CDL Truck Driver and Mechanic
Location: Wilton, Connecticut
Responsibilities: Working independently, drive a Class B CDL hook lift container truck for on-call residential and light commercial dumpsters. Truck is a single axel 34k GVW, hauling 10, 12 or 15 yard dumpsters. Dumpster route is 4 days per week, typically 7-3. When not driving, you will perform basic mechanical maintenance for a fleet of medium-duty International and Kenworth trucks. Mechanical work includes greasing, regular fluid changes, regular parts changing or repair for maintenance purposes and keeping inventory and ordering equipment and parts.
Requirements: Must hold a CDL (Class B) drivers license or be eligible to obtain one within 2 weeks of hire. Must have a cleaning driving history and be insurable. Must have at least 2 years of experience driving medium-duty trucks; 2 years of experience welding; 2 years of experience creating and repairing hydraulic lines and equipment; and 2 years of experience performing basic medium-duty truck maintenance.
